Mital M. Patel focuses his boutique law practice on serving entrepreneurs, business owners / executives, and technology startup companies in the early and growth stages of their business.
His services span the business life cycle, ranging from early stage start-up and incorporation, contract drafting / review, intellectual property protection and counseling, employment and business growth, to mergers, acquisitions and wind down. His background as an internet entrepreneur, computer programmer and web designer allow him to speak his clients’ “language” and provide clear legal counsel that makes business sense.
Mital developed his passion for technology when he discovered the Internet’s potential in the mid 1990s and taught himself to design and develop websites. He furthered his passion for technology when he majored in Computer Science at NC State University, where he graduated with honors. He received his Juris Doctorate as a Charter member of the Elon University School of Law.
When he’s not helping entrepreneurs, he can be found enjoying a Krispy Kreme doughnut (original glazed) or cheering on the NC State Wolfpack.
Amish A. Patel’s estate planning practice is focused on helping individuals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners proactively plan to protect their personal and business assets and leave a lasting legacy.
Amish particularly enjoys putting together strategic and thorough plans of all kinds. He views wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills as tools used to accomplish the broader (and more important) goal of creating peace of mind for his clients. He understands the unique challenges facing business owners and the added complexity of ensuring business continuity, growth, and succession.
In his experience as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche, Amish managed client engagement budgets up to $800,000. His consulting services focused on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business process improvement, and internal control testing. Amish leverages his seasoned consulting experience in his law practice by analyzing complex problems and providing his clients with concise and actionable advice.
Amish received his B.B.A. with a dual-concentration in Finance and Information Systems from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctorate from Campbell University School of Law.
In his spare time, Amish enjoys working on DIY projects around the house. He also loves immersing himself in researching everything from the ins and outs of the latest consumer tech gadgets (and is an unabashed Apple fanboy) to baby gear for his soon to be born daughter. A native of Baltimore, Amish is an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.
